BLUEFIN TUNA FISHING
SENSATIONAL, is how we can explain the massive SOUTHERN BLUEFIN TUNA run, that happens on the South West Coast. Portland, Victoria is the hotspot for Bluefin Tuna. Over 500 Tuna were caught by SHARKMEN customers last season. Bluefin Tuna over 100kg can be caught anytime during the season.
We will be there to catch the first fish in mid March.

Day Bluefin Tuna Fishing Charters
(groups)
- Week days – $1500, up to 6 people. Extras $100 each.
- Weekends – $1800, up to 6 people. Extras $100 each.
- Maximum 12 people.
- 7am till 3pm (8hrs)*
Offshore Bottom Fishing
(usually groups)
- Times vary (~8hours)
- Tassie Trumpeter, School and Gummy Sharks or Blue-eye, Harpuka, Ling etc.
- Up to 6 people $1500

Early bookings are available now to ensure the best times, we advise you get in early as the prime times and weekends book out quickly. The West Coast can at times be rough, so trips may be re booked due to bad weather, however we have an 11 meter boat that is in 2B survey. This allows us to travel further offshore, and in any direction, than OTHER BOATS.

Enter via Launching Way Carrum and proceed the to 4th boat ramp - you will see the boat "Imagine That" (it's the biggest boat there, you can't miss it!)

Trips are weather permitting
- All Bait & Tackle provided.
- BBQ On board, BYO meat and we'll cook it for you.
- Soft plastics are available.
- We are licensed for 12 anglers in our 37ft boat, this means that you are not all crowded in the back with heaps others, and can spread out more.
- Approximately 30% deposit is payable upon booking, this will confirm your trip.
- Payments, via Cash, Direct Deposit, or Credit Card.
- Deposit is refunded if the trip is canceled by Sharkmen charters.

WHAT YOU NEED
- We supply all the tackle required, including Shimano Tiagra Lever Drag reels, Shimano Revolution rods. gimbal belts, harnesses and all lures.
- All you need to bring is food, drinks (Alcohol allowed in moderation), sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, wet weather clothing and sea sickness tablets if needed. The ONE thing you cannot bring is BANANAS!
- We have a digital camera on board but feel free to bring your own camera.
- You can bring along your own Rod, we'll rig it up for you.
- You must also hold a Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence. They can be purchased at the Launching Way Shop prior to departure if needed or online HERE
- All passengers must before boarding the boat, have completed the following 1 page document (it is a government requirement): Passenger Manifest Form
On return you will also need an esky and also freezer bags.
Payment is due before departure and all clients need to fill in the passenger manifest before departing. This information is a MSV Marine Safety Victoria requirement and is also used by Sharkmen Charters to update you on upcoming trips and booking opportunities only and is not released to any third party.
